What should I wear on the lake / river?
Expect to get wet. In early spring and early fall, bring an extra layer of clothes to keep you warm on the river. Have a dry set of clothes for when you leave the river.
Should I show up at the launch site?
No. All trips begin and end at the Paddle Dog Adventures boathouse in Westhaven at the corner of Front Street and Westhaven Blvd. Arrive 30 - 45 minutes early. A shuttle will take you and your rental equipment to the river. You will be picked up and brought back to the boathouse at the end of your trip.
Can I bring an extra person?
If you have an unexpected addition to your party, we can usually accommodate an extra person or two at the normal rate. It is best to call ahead as soon as possible.
How do I make reservations?

What happens if I lose a paddle or other equipment on the river?
Any equipment that is lost on the river will be paid for by you.
How old do I have to be to rent a boat?
All minors (under18 years old) must be sponsored by an adult who is willing to sign a liability waiver taking responsibility for the safety and actions of the minor. We recommend solo users of our canoes and kayaks be at least 12 years old. Parents / suprvising adults must be present while minors are using equipment.
